Are Toronto Roofers Good Bad Or Ugly?

Would You Like to Help the Toronto Roofing Industry Vastly Improve?

As you may already know, the Toronto roofing industry has taken a real beating lately (what with that recent CBC news cast, Hitting the Roof, with Mike Holmes). Scores of home owners have now expressed serious bad vibes about Toronto roofers claiming to be professional.

Have you been stung by a Toronto Roofing company in the past?

We’d like to hear your story – we will certainly publish it, right here, in this blog for everyone to see.

Why?

Because we want to make sure that lessor quality roofers in Toronto stop giving quality Toronto roofers a bad rap. Also, your opinion and story will be read by other home owners. This communication will help prevent all the bad workmanship in the Toronto roofing industry.

Many of the best Toronto roofing companies in Toronto and the entire GTA are starting to band together to weed out the fly-by-night roofers. We want the entire roofing industry to receive a much needed enema (you know, flush out the crap to make more room for the good).

Your input will help make this possible.

My most recent seminar proved that the difference between good and bad is rampant. 23 Toronto roofers participated. These Toronto roofers were given a simple roof shingle replacement example on the chalk board, and asked what they would charge for the cost of the roof replacement.

The cost varied from $2800 to $9600 (using all the same roof materials, all the same workmanship warranties, all the same procedures).

How can that be?

How can the price range be so different? That’s a whopping $6100 difference in price, from the lowest to the highest.

The difference, obvoiusly, was the fact that the fly-by-night roofers charge much less than the established roofers. I’d love to mentions some names here, but that could cause some grief.

Are you willing to send me your story about your experience(s) with Toronto roofing companies?

Leave a comment below.

Tell Toronto what you would like to see happen in the residential roofing industry. Be honest and say what is really on your mind. And keep in mind, this isn’t about bashing roofing companies, it is about helping future home owners protect themselves from bad Toronto roofers. Let’s try to keep it positive, whether good bad or ugly.

Toronto and GTA home owners will sincerely thank you for your participation.

Thanks in advance,
